Fuel Cap ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Fuel Cap mobile application ("App") on Android and iOS. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Location Data: We collect your precise GPS location to find nearby gas stations. If you turn on price alerts, the App may use your last known location in the background to check nearby prices. Location data is used only within the App and is not sold to third parties.
• Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by Google. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (first sign-in only) and either your email address or a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including tabs visited, features used, and fill-up activity you voluntarily log.
• Device Information: We may collect device identifiers (including advertising identifiers), operating system version, and crash logs to improve App performance.
• Vehicle Information: Information about vehicles you add to your garage is stored locally on your device and in our secure cloud storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the App's core features (finding nearby gas stations, displaying prices).
• Personalize your experience based on your vehicle and fuel preferences.
• Track fill-up history and calculate estimated savings at your request.
• Send price alert and reminder notifications you can turn off at any time.
• Process subscription purchases through RevenueCat, Apple and Google Play.
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob (free users only).
• Analyze App usage to fix bugs and improve features.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Maps / Google Places API: Used to display maps and retrieve gas station data.
• Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple and Firebase: Used for account authentication and to store leaderboard data.
• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements to free users and may use device advertising identifiers for ad targeting. On iOS, ads are personalized only if you allow tracking when asked; on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions and purchases.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: Process payments for subscriptions.

5. Location Data

Location access is required for the App's core functionality. We use your location to find gas stations near you and calculate distances. Your location is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Leaderboards show only your city name, never your exact location. You may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, though this will limit App functionality.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device and may be synced to secure cloud servers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App's services or as required by law. You can permanently delete your account and leaderboard data at any time in the App under Account > Delete Account, or by emailing fuelcapsupport@gmail.com. Deleting your account does not cancel a Fuel Cap Pro subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Opt out of certain data processing, including personalized ads.
